Private Cycling Excursions
Are you planning a trip to the French Riviera? Our private cycling excursions are perfect for traveling cyclists who are on vacation and don't want to miss out on the extraordinary roads and legendary mountain passes of the French Riviera and the arrière pays niçois. Get the most out of your limited time on the bike in the Côte d'Azur with a private guide and a customized itinerary. Our guides are seasoned athletes and former professional cyclists who are very familiar with the region and the local culture.

1 person $80 per hour per person
2 people $50 per hour per person
3-4 people $40 per hour per person
~Minimum excursion time = 3 hours; Maximum of 2 consecutive days of private cycling excursions per individual or group at the rates indicated above.
~Our rates are based on rides departing from from Nice, Saint Laurent du Var and the Arrière Pays Niçois, but we also accept departures from Monaco to Cannes for an additional fee.
~Road bike rentals available
~Excursions depart from various meeting points, depending on your location. For an additional charge, we will meet you at your accommodations.
Please contact us using the form below. We will reply within 24-48 hours to discuss the details of your excursion and request further information if necessary. Although we occasionally accept last-minute requests, we recommend that you request your private cycling excursion at least 2 weeks in advance. We have a limited number of guides available for this purpose. Please note that reserving a private cycling excursion with Azur Vélo signifies acceptance of our Private Cycling Excursion Terms and Conditions below.

Azur Vélo Private Cycling Excursion Terms and Conditions
A deposit equal to the cost of 1.5 hours (per person) of your private cycling excursion plus a $5.00 handling fee is required to hold your reservation.
We accept payments of deposits via Paypal. Once your reservation request is accepted, we will send you a Paypal invoice via the email address you have provided us. We will notify you in writing once we receive your deposit and your reservation is confirmed.
The balance of your payment is due the day of your cycling excursion, payable in cash (in euros) to your ride guide at the completion of your ride. Total hours will be calculated from the scheduled time of departure to the time of return to the place of departure or another place mutually agreed on by both parties at the time of reservation. Ride duration will be calculated to the nearest half hour. In other words, 3 hours 20 minutes or 3 hours 40 minutes would be billed at 3 hours 30 minutes.
We ask that you notify us in writing at: email@example.com if you need to cancel your private excursion for any reason. Paypal deposits are non-refundable.
Although we endeavor to present information and descriptions of a given route as accurately as possible, participants are encouraged to make independent investigations of their own in terms of the weather prospects for the date of departure, the conditions of the roads and the terrain over which the ride may take place. It is the responsibility of participants to decide for themselves whether or not any ride organized by us is either suitable or appropriate for them in terms of the challenges and risks that may be encountered.
Excursion Alterations & Cancellation:
Azur Vélo reserves the right to cancel or alter excursions due to circumstances beyond our control. In the event of such a cancellation before ride departure, Azur Vélo will notify you in writing of the change as soon as possible and refund your 1.5 hour Paypal deposit. This will constitute full settlement.
Cycling has inherent risks attached to it and Azur Vélo, LLC. shall not be liable for any damages relating to loss of property, personal injury, death or other loss whether arising from accident, cancellation, delays or any other matter beyond our control. Each participant is required to take out travel and personal accident insurance coverage. Therefore, you must be adequately insured against personal injury, medical expenses arising from accident or injury, property loss, theft or damage, and ride cancellation. All participants must provide proof of applicable personal accident and travel insurance cover on request.
It is the sole responsibility of the participant to determine his or her level of bike and road handling ability and whether or not our cycling trip is suitable for the individual concerned. Participants accept all risks to their physical well-being associated with this activity, such as their ability to withstand exposure to the elements, level and extent of physical exertion, tolerance and endurance.
Participants will be using challenging roads while out cycling and it is for the participants to decide whether or not their cycling equipment, cycling speed, physical endurance and/or bike and road handling are of an appropriate standard for a given cycling excursion.
When you book a cycling excursion with Azur Vélo, LLC., you undertake to conduct yourself in a manner that does not put at risk your own safety or that of other participants on the ride. In addition you accept all risks of the roads of the tour regions including the challenging terrain, road hazards, vehicles on the road, hazards from other cyclists and other road users.
Cyclists can and do sustain serious injuries from such hazards. Azur Vélo, LLC. and its employees or associates cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for the state of the roads of any tour region or for the conduct of any participant or other road user.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions:
By paying the private cycling excursion reservation deposit and thus indicating a desire to book a cycling excursion with us, you will be deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions of service which this disclaimer is part of. Our terms and conditions and our release form will be emailed to you with your invoice and must be signed and returned to us before your departure.
Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize and accept the dangers, risks and hazards inherent in any cycling activity.
